  • House & Ground Rules
    • The following rules have been adopted to ensure the fullest enjoyment of the entire membership at Manor Country Club. We thank you in advance for your compliance. These rules apply to any members or guests on Club grounds.
      1. Members are responsible for their actions as well as the actions of their family members, sponsored guests and visitors. Members shall be required to pay for any loss or damage to Club property for which they, their family or their guests or visitors are responsible. Members shall be responsible for all debts to the Club incurred by any person introduced by them as a guest or visitor. Members, their dependents or their guests are required to identify themselves and verify their membership or guest status if requested to do so by any member, or by the golf, tennis, swimming or clubhouse management staffs.

      2. Children under twelve (12) years of age must be under direct supervision of their parents or another adult bringing them to the Clubhouse or grounds except as otherwise noted. Parents and others bringing children to the Club are responsible for ensuring that the children’s actions do not cause annoyance to other members. The entry staircase and lobby is not a play area. It is reserved as an entryway for the Manor Dining Room, the upstairs Lounge and Ballroom.Children under 14 years of age are not permitted in the fitness center. The elevator is off limits to children, under sixteen (16), unless under proper adult supervision. Children under eighteen (18) years of age are not allowed in the Clubhouse locker rooms at any time, unless accompanied by their parent with proper adult supervision. Persons under eighteen (18) are required to be under supervision after 10 PM. Persons under twenty-one (21) years of age are not permitted in the Pub. Persons aged 18-21 are permitted in the upstairs Lounge only when accompanied by their parent. 

      3. Good order and decorum must be observed in all parts of the Clubhouse and premises. Anyone conducting themselves in an unbecoming manner shall be requested by the General Manager, or their designate, to leave the Clubhouse and premises.

      4. Exercise utmost quiet in leaving the Club at late evening hours.

      5. Non-employees are not permitted in the service areas of the Club at any time unless escorted by the General Manager or the General Manager's representative.

      6. All furnishings, equipment or other property of the Club are intended to be used exclusively on Club premises and shall not be loaned or removed from the Club premises without managerial approval. Bath towels are not to be removed from the Clubhouse or taken from the premises at any time. Bath towels are not permitted on the golf course.

      7. All trash must be discarded in the appropriate containers.

      8. Bicycling, skateboarding, roller blading, and roller skating are prohibited on all Club sidewalks, cart paths, patios, in the parking lots, or lawns at all times. No pedestrians or joggers are allowed on the golf course except for Club events. Bicycles should be in racks where racks are available.

      9. Smoking is prohibited inside and outside of the Clubhouse with the following exceptions: Cigarette smoking is permitted on the golf course, Club Room and ballroom outdoor patios, the adult only lap swimming pool, and the tennis deck.

      10. No alcoholic beverages shall be sold to minors or sold for their use, and no alcoholic beverages shall be brought on the property of the Club. No sale of liquor by the bottle for use on or off the premises will be made by the Club.

      11. The bringing of food and beverages on the premises by members and guests is prohibited.

      12. Vehicles shall not be parked or be left unattended in front of the clubhouse or at any entrance or in any of the driveways serving the Club. Members are cautioned to drive vehicles slowly and with great care around the Club grounds. Vehicles must be parked within the lined parking spaces of the parking areas. You many only park in designated spaces.

      13. Pets are not allowed in the Clubhouse, on the golf course or Club grounds at any time. Medical assist dogs are permitted. 
  • Dress Codes
    • Clubhouse & Dining Dress Code

      It is the intent of Manor Country Club to create a generally relaxed, family atmosphere while maintaining a sense of style and dignity in keeping with the tradition of our Club. To that end, members and guests shall observe the rules pertaining to appropriate attire for specific areas of the Club. In general, the lower level of the Clubhouse is more casual than the upper level. The General Manager may suspend or adjust these rules in unusual circumstances or because of special arrangements for functions or events.

      1. After participating in a sporting activity, you must wear fresh attire in the various dining facilities. If you wish to remain in the Clubhouse or on Club premises following an exercise workout, you must change out of exercise attire and into appropriate attire as described in this Dress Code or proceed directly to your locker or car.
      2. Unacceptable attire in the Clubhouse, on the Patio, and at Club or member-sponsored parties includes sweat suits, basketball shorts, gym shorts, sweat pants, t-shirts, collarless shirts, tank tops, bathing suits, and short shorts and cut-offs. Any torn or tattered clothing is also unacceptable.
      3. Tennis and athletic attire is not acceptable in the upper level of the clubhouse after 5 PM. Prior to 5 PM, only tasteful tennis attire is permitted, not including sweat suits and sweatshirts.
      4. Women may wear collarless shirts and other types of fashions sold in the golf shops at private country clubs.
      5. Blue Jeans (pants) are permitted to be worn in the Clubhouse including the patios, Pub, and in the Manor Dining Room and Lounge. They are not allowed on the golf course or practice facilities.
      6. Bathing suits are not permitted anywhere outside of the Pool Complex. Cover-ups or street clothing and shoes or sandals must be worn whenever going between the parking lot and the Pool Complex.
      7. Baseball-type hats or sports hats are not permitted to be worn in any dining area of the Club except the lower floor of the Clubhouse and on the patios. Hats must always be worn with the brim facing forward.
      8. Shoes are to be worn on Club property at all times except inside the pool area, locker rooms and shower facilities. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.

      Any member or guest not appropriately attired shall be advised by Club management and requested to either comply with the Dress Code or leave the premises. Management will refuse service to those who will not respect the Manor Dress Code. The General Manager will advise the Board of Governors and House Committee Chairperson of any infractions of the Dress Code not resolved by Club management. The golf and racquets professional staff also has instructions to see that there are no dress code violations.


      Golf Dress Code

      All golfers and spectators on the golf course and the practice areas must wear proper golf attire. The interpretation of proper golf attire will be based on the fashion worn by golf professionals and the type of fashion sold in PGA Golf Shops and worn at private country clubs. Proper golf attire is available at the Manor Golf Shop.

      1. Collared shirts must be worn and tucked into pants, trousers or shorts.
      2. Turtleneck and mock turtleneck shirts may be worn.
      3. Bare feet are not permitted.
      4. Sweat suits, swimsuits, cut-offs, athletic shorts, blue denim jeans, T-shirts and tennis outfits are not considered proper golf attire and will not be allowed on the golf course or practice facilities.
      5. If a hat is worn, the brim must be facing forward.
      6. Profane or suggestive language or inappropriate logos are not permitted.


      Racquets Dress Code

      In general, the interpretation of proper attire will be based on the fashion worn by men and women tennis professionals and the type of fashion sold in tennis shops at private country clubs. Be aware that some tennis companies sell tennis attire that is not appropriate to wear at Manor.

      1. Tube tops, cotton t-shirts, and bare midriffs are not allowed. Men may not wear sleeveless shirts.
      2. Collared shirts or high fashion “dri-fabric” shirts similar to those shown in our pro shop and shops at other private country clubs are required.
      3. Children are expected to adhere to the dress code, but on weekdays they may wear t-shirts that are primarily white and tennis oriented; and shorts, with pockets, that do not hang below the knees. Children may wear logoed t-shirts on weekends.
      4. No jogging shoes, golf shoes, or hard sole shoes are allowed on the courts.
      5. Swimming attire and golf spikes are not permitted on the deck or on the courts.

      • Take MD-355 south.
      • Turn left on Gude Drive.
      • Turn left onto MD-28 /Norbeck Road
      • Turn right onto Carrolton Road. Proceed up the hill to Manor Country Club.

      From Washington DC:

      • Take Constitution Avenue/US-50
      • Merge onto I-66 W/US-50 W
      • Take the US-50 W/Arlington Blvd/George Washington Parkway exit
      • Merge onto George Washington Parkway North. Follow to I-495 North Capital Beltway toward Maryland.
      • Merge onto I-270 spur north, toward Rockville/Frederick

      PART I: INTRODUCTION
      MCC MISSION

      Manor Country Club (the “MCC” or “we” or “us” or “our”) is the premier family-oriented country club for golf, racquet sports, leisure, and relaxation in Rockville, MD.

      MCC WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

      In furtherance of its mission, MCC has developed a MCC Website (the “Website” or the “MCC Website”) and mobile device applications (the “Apps”) (the Website and the Apps collectively referred to herein as the “Services”).

      MCC WEBSITE PRIVACY STATEMENTS

      MCC recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy of information of both MCC members and non-members who access the Services. This privacy policy statement (“Privacy Statement”) demonstrates our commitment to protecting the privacy of the information described below and explains the privacy policies and procedures of MCC.

      This Privacy Statement governs the privacy practices and procedures of MCC with respect to the data it collects from both MCC members and visitors to the MCC Website and Apps. The data MCC collects may be merged by MCC management with offline data in furtherance of the mission and policies established by MCC.

      CONSENT TO MCC WEBSITE PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES

      By using the Website, or downloading an App, as applicable, you are consenting to the practices and procedures as described in this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree with the practices and procedures described in this Privacy Statement, please discontinue using all of the Services and follow the applicable procedures described in the Opt-Out section of this Privacy Statement.

      You consent to the use of cookies and other similar tracking technologies on your computer or device in this way and as described in more detail below.

      MCC WEBSITE ACCESS TO THE SERVICES

      Access to the Services differ materially between MCC members and non-members who access the Services. Non-members who access the Services are restricted from gaining access to Services which are provided exclusively to MCC members. Moreover, certain member information is password protected for each member such that other MCC members are restricted from accessing another member’s information that is personal to a member. However, such password protected information of a MCC member is accessible by MCC management and, in certain instances, to other MCC members.

      PART II: WHAT INFORMATION DOES MCC COLLECT?

      MCC collects two types of information from users of the Services: (1) personal information that can be used to specifically identify or contact an individual and as provided by such individual either through the Website or the App (“Personal Information”); and (2) non-personal information collected, for example, as you interact with our Services that cannot, in itself, be used to specifically identify or contact an individual (“Non-Personal Information”).

      PERSONAL INFORMATION: MEMBERS

      When a Member uses the Services, the member has access to (1) information regarding the Club which is accessible by all members and (2) information which is restricted to that member, similar to a private portal.

      Member access to such information is restricted by both member access name and member login which is case sensitive.We may also collect the following information from Members:

      • Name and job title or suffix.
      • Contact information including email address.
      • Demographic information such as addresses, other contact information, preferences andinterests.
      • Other information relevant to member and non-member surveys and/or offers.
      PERSONAL INFORMATION: NON-MEMBERS

      When a non-member uses any of the Services, they may be asked to provide or otherwise choose to provide Personal Information, depending upon the areas of interest selected by the User:

      • MCC Membership – First Name, Last Name, Zip Code, Referral Email, Telephone, How you found Manor Country Club, and Additional Comments.
      • Events, including Weddings and Banquets: First Name, Last Name, Referral Email, Telephone, Type of Event, Event Date, Estimated Number of Guests, How you found Manor Country Club, and Other Details.

      Through the Services, MCC does not request personal financial information such as credit card information, social security numbers or taxpayer employer identification numbers.

      PART III: HOW DOES MCC USE MY INFORMATION?
      MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS

      MCC uses the information it collects (including Personal Information and Non-Personal Information) primarily to understand your needs, provide you with better products and services, and deliver the specific product, service, or information you requested.

      MEMBERS

      We may use your information to communicate back to you, to update you on products and services, to personalize your experience on the Services, to tailor displays to you on our Services and elsewhere to your interests and history with us, to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information, newsletters, or other information we think would be of particular interest. We may also use the information we collect to send you e-mails about MCC news, announcements, or changes to the Services.

      If, as a member, you do not want to receive promotional e-mails from MCC, please notify us by following the procedures contained in our promotional e-mails or in the “Opt-Out” section of this Privacy Statement.


      Information obtained through the Services (including both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information) may be combined and used in conjunction with information obtained through sources other than the Services or at different times, including both offline and online sources. MCC and our representatives may use this combined information to enhance and personalize your various experiences with us on and in connection with the Services.

      From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customize the website according to your interests, internal record keeping and to improve our products and services.

      Depending on your profile settings (if applicable), MCC may display your profile to other MCC members to enable MCC members to connect with each other.

      NON-MEMBERS

      We may use your information to communicate back to you in response to your inquiries.

      SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES

      MCC does not share your information with third parties except with your prior written consent or as a matter of law.

      PART IV: HOW DOES MCC USE COOKIES?

      A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

      We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

      You can opt-out of sharing your Personal Information with MCC and other MCC members or being contacted by MCC for promotional purposes.
